Dead Horse Point State Park
In the 19th century, cowboys would use Dead Horse Point, which is almost entirely surrounded by cliffs, as a natural corral. The convenience came at a price, though, as their horses would often die of exposure. Eventually, Dead Horse Point became a state park and is now a great place to visit. Rebekah and I visited Dead Horse Point State Park on the first afternoon that we were in Moab and it was a success! My photo turned out great and, as far as I know, not a single horse died while we were there.
