We recently returned from two and a half weeks in the Pacific Northwest. This photo is of Rialto Beach (Olympic National Park) and was taken on our last night on the Olympic Peninsula. It was cold and overcast, but we could see some sea stacks in the distance that looked interesting. We thought, "That doesn't look too far," and so we started walking...and walking...and walking. About a mile and a half later, we finally reached the sea stacks, and we were so glad we made the trek. The clouds decided to cooperate and right at sunset, a gap opened at the horizon resulting in the most spectacular sunset of our entire trip. We hope you enjoy the result of our epically long walk on the beach!
