Gannon's Photography - Gannon McGhee

Sabino Canyon

We haven’t traveled much this year. Instead, we’ve been exploring the desert and mountains close to our home in Tucson, Arizona. Photography is relatively easy when you visit all the spots that you see in post cards. But, when you set out to find something unique in your own back yard, photography becomes much more of a challenge and a creative process. In Tucson, autumn comes at the end of November but it is difficult to find native trees that actually change color. Rebekah and I found these trees along Sabino Creek and this is what they looked like the weekend after Thanksgiving. It took a few visits, but I eventually ended up with a photo that I am happy with.
